The conference venue is located at about 2,6 Km from Hotel Boa-Vista and about 4 Km from the other hotels. Transportation by bus between the conference venue and Fenix, Tuela, Douro and Boa-Vista hotels will be available during the 3 days of the conference and in the afternoon of September 28 (the corresponding schedule will be posted shortly). Transportation to the Conference banquet site will also be provided on Thursday evening.

Transport Information

BY PLANE

Porto is just 15/20 minutes away from Francisco Sá Carneiro - Porto International Airport, that has frequent flights to the main cities in Europe and America.
For transportation to the hotels you can take the Aero Bus at the Airport, which departs every 30 min, from 7 am to 8 pm, costs 4 Euros and leaves you at the Hotel upon request on boarding. The duration of this trip is about 40 min. TAP Air Portugal offers this service free of charge to its passengers. You just have to turn in your boarding card to the Aerobus driver.

BY TRAIN

Porto is served by the "Porto - Campanhã" and "Porto - São Bento" train stations. To get to the hotel and the conference venue you must take a taxi or a bus. For updated information on timetables, lines and services: www.cp.pt.
If you aim to visit the capital city, the price of Porto/Lisbon one-way ticket in an Alfa Pendular Train costs about € 23.00

BY CAR

Approaching from the South on Motorway A1(Lisbon to Porto) Enter Porto across the Arrabida bridge. To get the Hotels Douro, Fénix or Tuela turn right immediately after the bridge. To get the conference venue and Hotel Boa-Vista, on the ring road of Porto (Via de Cintura Interna - VCI), take the Bessa Leite exit, following signs to Boavista. Go straight ahead and after being in Av. da Boavista go down the avenue and near the sea you will find the venue. Just in front of the City Park. To get the Hotel Boa-Vista go on in Av. Boavista till the 1st roundabout, turn left and with the sea on your right follow until the Hotel, that will be close to an old clastle in Foz.

BY BUS

The cost of a one-way ticket (in the conference roundabouts) is € 0,70.

From the airport to the Conf. Venue: Nr. 56 to Rotunda da Boavista (Boavista Roundabout) and then you can take nrs. 19, 24 and 36 to the Conf. Venue

From Campanhã train station to Rotunda da Boavista (Boavista Roundabout): Nr. 34

From São Bento train station to Rotunda da Boavista (Boavista Roundabout): Nrs. 3, 20, 21, 22, 24 and 25

From Douro, Fénix or Tuela Hotels to the Conference Venue: Nrs. 19, 24, 36.

From Boa-Vista Hotel to the Conference Venue: Nr. 24 to Castelo do Queijo and then nr. 19 to the conference venue.

BY TAXI

From Douro, Fénix or Tuela Hotels to the Conference Venue you can take a taxi at the Boavista Roundabout, just in from of the Brasilia Shopping Centre.

From Boa-Vista Hotel to the Conference Venue, you are advised to ask the hotel reception to call a taxi.

Conference Registration

The registration desk is located in the foyer of the Conference Venue. It will be open for on-site registration and collecting the participants packs as scheduled below:

Tuesday, September 28:	15:00 – 18:00
Wednesday, September 29:	08:00 – 12:30; 14:00 – 18:30
Thursday, September 30:	08:30 – 12:30; 14:00 – 18:30
Wednesday, October 1:	08:30 – 12:30; 14:00 – 18:30

Participants are advised to collect their material on Tuesday afternoon, in order to avoid large queues on Wednesday before the Welcome Session and the first Invited Talk.

For participants registering on-site, please note that the only forms of payment available will be by cash or by check in Euros, drawn on a Portuguese Bank made payable to INEB.
