Special SessionsRobot VisionRecent advances in embedded systems and computer vision hardware and software are increasingly being applied to augment, and even to replace other robot sensors such as GPS, odometry or laser rangefinders. Computer vision has very low-cost, small size and may operate in most types of environments. Thus, computer vision applications to embedded systems and robotics are steadily growing in the last few years. The aim of this special session is to bring together researchers and practitioners working in the area of computer vision for robotics and other mobile devices with emphasis on embedded image processing and analysis. We are soliciting original contributions, which address a wide range of theoretical and practical topics related to computer vision for robotics, including, but not limited to:
Submission procedureAuthors are invited to submit full papers showing original research contributions.
The conference proceedings will be published in the Springer Lecture Notes in
Computer Science series (Springer LNCS). Prospective authors should submit an
electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the ICIAR 2014 submission
system by Important Dates
