April 13, 2016 Author notifications have been sent out (for regular papers).
April 3, 2016 Author notification for regular papers has been postponed to April 11, 2016 due to a delay in the review process.
March 10, 2016 Call for short and poster papers is posted. Submission deadline is March 31.
February 24, 2016 Paper submission deadline has been extended to March 7, 2016.
February 14, 2016 Fourth special session submission deadline extended to March 14, 2016.
February 3, 2016 Fourth special session announced: Advances in Data Analytics and Pattern Recognition with Applications. This special session is honouring the memory of the conference founder the late Professor Mohamed Kamel.
January 25, 2016 Third special session announced: Recent Advances in Cardiovascular Image Analysis.

December 10, 2015 Dr. Mohamed Kamel passed away on Friday December 4, 2015. All colleagues involved in the ICIAR 2016 organization mourn the loss of our esteemed colleague and chair of all the ICIAR editions. ICIAR 2016 will keep his memory alive.

About ICIAR

ICIAR – The International Conference on Image Analysis and Recognition aims to bring together researchers in the fields of Image Processing, Image Analysis and Pattern Recognition.

The conference will address recent advances in theory, methodologies and applications. The scientific program will include invited speakers and fully refereed contributions that will be published in the conference proceedings.

The ICIAR series of conferences is organized annually, alternating between Europe and America.

  • In 2004, the first conference, ICIAR 2004, was held in Porto, Portugal.
  • ICIAR 2005 was held in Toronto, Canada.
  • ICIAR 2006 was held in Póvoa de Varzim, Portugal.
